Information about checked baggage and carry-on baggage allowances
Checked Baggage – When flying with Biman you can enjoy the following checked baggage allowances:
Weight Concept

Note: Please see note under serial no.- 1.7 in detail baggage policy for restrictive items not allowed in cabin baggage and checked-in baggage.
Business Class
- Free Baggage Allowance: 30 Kgs limited within maximum two pieces.
- The sum of the 3 dimensions (length + breadth + height) must not exceed 62 inches or 158 centimeters for each piece.
- The maximum weight permissible for a single piece of baggage is 30 Kgs.
Economy Class
- Free Baggage Allowance: 20 Kgs limited within maximum two pieces.
- The sum of the 3 dimensions (length + breadth + height) of both must not exceed 62 inches or 158 centimeters.
- The weight of each bag must not exceed 20 Kgs.
Infants in all Classes
- Free Baggage Allowance: 10Kgs limited to one piece.
- The sum of the 3 dimensions (length + breadth + height) must not exceed 45 inches or 115 centimeters.
- In addition they are entitled to one collapsible stroller/carrycot/infant car seat subject to availability of space.
Piece Concept
Business Class
- Free Baggage Allowance: 2 pieces.
- The sum of the 3 dimensions (length + breadth + height) must not exceed 62 inches or 158 centimeters for each piece.
- The maximum weight permissible for a single piece of baggage is 30 Kgs.
Economy Class
- Free Baggage Allowance: 2 pieces.
- The sum of the 3 dimensions (length + breadth + height) of both must not exceed 62 inches or 158 centimeters.
- The weight of each bag must not exceed 50 pounds or 23 Kilos.
Infant in all Classes
- Free Baggage Allowance: 1 piece not exceeding 23Kgs(Economy) & 30Kgs(Business).
- The sum of the 3 dimensions (length + breadth + height) must not exceed 45 inches or 115 centimeters.
- In addition they are entitled to one collapsible stroller/carrycot/infant car seat subject to availability of space.
Carry-On Baggage
Under the Biman Bangladesh Airlines' cabin baggage policy, each adult/child passenger will be allowed the following cabin baggage allowance.

Each adult/child passengers are permitted one piece of carry-on baggage, either a handbag or laptop bag, that may not exceed 20 x 15 x 10 inches (56 x 36 x 23cm) and must weigh no more than 7kg for economy class & 10kg for business class.

Articles Allowed On-board

A pair of crutches and/or other prosthetic devices for the passenger’s use provided the passenger is dependent upon them. |
The maximum weight permissible for a single piece of baggage is 32 kgs. This rule is applicable on the entire Biman Bangladesh Airlines network. If baggage weight exceeds 32 kilograms per one piece, the baggage must be re-packed.
