Air Marshal Muhammad Enamul Bari, BBP, ndu, psc (retd.) has been appointed as the Chairman of the Biman Board of Directors. He joined the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) in 1978 and was commissioned in the General Duties (Pilot) branch in January 1981. He commanded different fighter squadrons, Wings and BAF bases. Air Marshal Enamul Bari also served as the Director of Air Operations and Director of Air training in the Air force. He is widely acclaimed in BAF and beyond for his dynamism, scholastic acumen, professionalism and compassion. He is a graduate from the Defense Services Command & Staff College, Mirpur, Dhaka and the Air Force Command and Staff College Indonesia. He is a fellow of the National Defense University, Washington, DC, USA. During his long illustrious service of 35 years with Bangladesh Airforce, he also served as Directing Staff in Command & staff college Mirpur. Before taking over the command of the Bangladesh Air force, he served as the Asstt. Chief of Air Staff Operations and Training and the Asstt. Chief of Air Staff Administration for 5 Years. He retired after successfully completing his tenure of 3 years as the Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air force in June 2015. Air Marshal Enamul Bari was also a member of the Biman Board of Directors during 2007-2010 and lead a joint team of Board members and Biman management to successfully conclude the agreement for purchase of 10 new generation aircraft from the Boeing Company.
